STOP WORRYING

Positivity is here again,Motivation is here again and Inspiration is here again, all centered around quoteable quotes that apply to our daily lives. Worry is a common word, infact it’s so common some of us think worrying over a situation is going to make it better, but am so sure that we know better now.

Formally, Worry means to be anxious about something unpleasant that may have happened or may happen. Looking at this closely, you can clearly see that worrying over what has happened or may happen is not going to change the situation, instead you end up throwing the body and the state of the mind into uneasiness, tension and ill-health (Do you ever wonder how or why people have hypertension?).

For those us who don’t know – you don’t cry over spilled milk(If it wasn’t so the Jews would have complained about the 6 million Jews that were killed by the Nazis and they would have been compensated) and you should not be anxious of tomorrow for you know not what it brings(If the woman from single and married knew what tomorrow brings she would not have boarded the ill-fated plane that took her life)

Youth service comes up next month, some of us are so anxious of where we will be posted, we decided to dictate the posting. What are we anxious of? Is it the North and its religious crisis? Is it about a job we can get? What is it? The things of this world are not worth being attached to because they can be gone in a jiffy. We have been told – love not the world neither the things that are in the world!

Do not get the wrong impression. You are the architect of your destiny, do what is necessary to achieve your goals and dreams. My message is simple – worry not, be anxious of nothing.

Enough talk, here we have a few quotes
1. I've come to believe that all my past failure and frustration were actually laying the foundation for the understandings that have created the new level of living I
now enjoy. Anthony Robbins

2. Every adversity, every failure, every heartache carries with it the seed of an equal or greater benefit.
Napoleon Hill

3. You must take personal responsibility. You cannot change the circumstances, the seasons, or the wind, but you can change yourself. That is something you have charge of. Jim Rohn

Yet again, another those of motivation for us all.

Word of the week – ANXIETY : feeling nervous, worried or afraid, especially about something that is going to happen or might happen.

ANOTHER DAY CLOSER TO SUCCESS (Dedication : Ibrahim Durosimi – Aspiring Consultant/Facilitator)

Motivation and inspiration for yet another week. We all want to succeed not just in life but in everything we do in life, no doubt about that but success comes at a price and only those willing to pay this price irrespective of the obstacles and setbacks will eat the fruit of success thereof. I am not here to tell you this is the path to success but I ask only one question in place of that – ARE YOU WILLING TO PAY THE PRICE TO ACHIEVE SUCCESS?

Times without number, we know what to do – the price to pay, to accomplish our objectives, but there always seem to be a shorter way (at least that’s what some of us think!) some of us take that path only to discover at the end of the supposedly short path that we have wasted time and resources. If only we had channeled those resources to the path we know is the true path. It has often been said that one often meets his destiny on the road he takes to avoid it, being a fan of animated movies I recommend kung fu panda at this time, the movie is an inspirational one – from a level of just another person from the crowd to a level of respect and interacting with people who stood out from the crowd.

For the dedication of this week I have my very good friend Ibrahim Durosimi. This guy is with rise networks and is all over facebook training people on how to get the jobs of their dream, such a selfless guy with people’s interest at heart. He had it in him right from day one in college/university because of this guy a couple of people joined Junior Chambers, an organization he was a part of. As for me I have him to thank for my being part of JCI. There is more to this friend of mine but take this as a synopsis from me.

So here, a few quoteable quotes

1. A precise gaol is the springboard for any accomplishment

2. Do what u feel in your heart to be right, for you will be criticized anyway, you will be damned if you do and damned if you don’t.

3. You cannot embrace the future if you are living in the past.

There we have it, another dose of motivation for us all.

Word of the week – MEGADEATH : one million deaths, used as a unit for measuring deaths in a nuclear war.

PS : you are probably thinking how does that apply here. If in a nuclear war deaths are been counted in millions well in a ‘nuclear’ success money will be counted in millions.

Formal Education Chapter : Closed(Dedication – Dahunsi Olanrewaju, Vice President,UNILAG JCs)

It is another great week,a week filled with so much greatness that I can feel it as if I caught a cold and here I am yet again with another dose of quoteable quotes, inspiration and motivation. These past few weeks has been quite funny,I remember back in the days when I size up my friends to spend cash and they tell me they don’t have a dime,I always laughed because I don’t know whether to believe them or not. How can u tell me you don’t have a dime? Interesting enough they might have been telling the truth. Right now,as a I make this post I don’t have a dime (I can’t lie to myself now can i?).It’s a phase that will pass so it’s no big deal.

I was talking to a friend of mine Dahunsi Olanrewaju (Vice President,UNILAG JCs)last week and I saw his passion for football (he is a Manchester united fan by the way).He was saying that the best footballer award was going in favour of messi according to votes but that it should go to C. Ronaldo instead. He gave some reasons and analysis to support his point but I don’t expect anything less,he was supporting his own, no doubt. Anyway C. Ronaldo won.As the Vice President you answer to a female President,I wonder how that works, you should tell me about it some other time.

Barack Obama just finished his speech on tv and I picked up something from the transmission, not necessarily from him,it came from Jesse Jackson Jnr. – I will rather fail rightly than succeed wrongly.I have to admit Obama is what Americans have been waiting for.

To the core talk for this week, convocation of the 2007/2008 set comes up tomorrow and I am not even eager to be there, they want N8600 for graduation gown and invitation amidst some kind of agreement. If I get that money right now, the gown and invitation won’t even be on the list of things I will get with the money, come to think of it I just finished reading rich dad poor dad by Robert kiyosaki (Highly recommended). Take a look at a cross-section of the book.

"It is foolish to assume that the education the school system provides will prepare your children for the world
they will face upon graduation. Each child needs more education. Different education. And they need to know the rules. The different sets of rules."

"Get with the times! Look around; the richest people didn't get rich because of their educations. Look at Michael
Jordan and Madonna. Even Bill Gates, who dropped out of Harvard, founded Microsoft; he is now the richest man in
America, and he's still in his 30s. There is a baseball pitcher who makes more than $4 million a year even though
he has been labeled `mentally challenged.' "

"Today, the most dangerous advice you can give a child is `Go to school, get good grades and look for a safe
secure job,' " he likes to say. "That is old advice, and it's bad advice …”

Please don’t get the wrong impression about school, because if you do I wonder what you will do when you read his other book – if you want to be rich and happy, don’t go to school. After reading the book (rich dad, poor dad), I didn’t regret going to college/university because I know that somehow somewhere, college opened my eyes to this new path that I have found and I have decided to follow and no,there are no masters and phds on the path just financial literacy (it is a path of freedom, a path of investing, a path of being my own BOSS!).

A few quoteable quotes (sometimes I wonder if any post is complete without it!)

1. Freedom is the potential to challenge yourself far beyond the constraints of traditional rules.

2. Never give up to find a way because that is what winners do.

3. If there is a rule you can bend it,if there is a law you can break it,if you can change the rules on what controls you can change the rules on what you control.

So sad, convocation is here, and I won’t be there(as if I care),don’t you want to celebrate? Celebrate my foot, I celebrity success not mediocrity.Another dose of motivation for us all.

P.S : I was listening to the radio during the week and I heard this about the power company –
NEPA PLC : Never Expect Power Always Please Light Candle
PHCN : Problem Has Changed Name
Seeing the relationship I couldn’t help laughing. We (Nigerians) are truly the happiest people on earth but we had to be told by a foreign entity before we saw it,what a shame?

COURAGE IS NEEDED

Courage – the quality of being brave.Quoteable quotes here to help us all yet again. It has been said that without courage you cannot exercise other virtues. These subsequent weeks, be courageous, be bold don’t give room to timidity and shyness. You know what you want, so go and get it. We were even encouraged in Heb 4:16 let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of trouble. For those of us who are into movies, remember Braveheart, remember The Patriot, such bravery and courage is needed in our daily lives.

1. It is not what we get. But who we become, what we contribute... that gives
meaning to our lives. Anthony Robbins
2. You will never possess what you are unwilling to pursue. Mike Murdock
3. Disciplining yourself to do what you know is right and important, although difficult, is the highroad to pride, self-esteem, and personal satisfaction. Brian Tracy
4. Be more concerned with your character than with your reputation. Your character is what you really are while your reputation is merely what others think you are. Dale Carnegie
5. Failure is not a single, cataclysmic event. You don't fail overnight. Instead,
failure is a few errors in judgment, repeated every day. Jim Rohn
6. A genuine leader is not a searcher for consensus but a molder of consensus.
Martin Luther King, Jr.
7. Now is the only time there is. Make your now wow, your minutes miracles, and your days pay. Your life will have been magnificently lived and invested, and when you die you will have made a difference. Mark Victor Hansen
8. The best job goes to the person who can get it done without passing the buck or coming back with excuses. Napoleon Hill
9. Courage is the most important of all the virtues, because without courage you can't practice any other virtue consistently. You can practice any virtue erratically, but nothing consistently without courage. Maya Angelou
10. The world has the habit of making room for the man whose words and actions show that he knows where he is going. Napoleon Hill
11. Your life is in your hands, to make of it what you choose. John Kehoe
12. Let others lead small lives, but not you. Let others argue over small things, but not you. Let others cry over small hurts, but not you. Let others leave their future in someone else's hands, but not you. Jim Rohn

We are up to the task, we should believe nothing less.Another dose of inspiration for us all

It's a new year : where are the men in the arena?

I am sorry i couldn't keep up with the friday schedule. I know blogging is quite a task and here i am trying to keep up. I can only hope to meet up with schedule because stuff just keep coming up. Today's dose of inspiration is indirectly a quoteable quote after all someone said it and i am quoting him. It's one of my favorites.

THE MAN IN THE ARENA
"it is not the critic who counts nor the man who points out where the strong man stumbled or where a doer of deeds
could have done better. The credit belongs to the man in the arena whose face is marred by dust and sweat and blood, who strives valiantly, who errs and who comes up short again and again, who knows the great enthusiasms, the great devotions and spends himself in a worthy cause, the man who at best knows the triumph of high achievements and who at worst,if he fails, fails while daring greatly so that his place will never be with those cold timid souls who neva knew victory or defeat - Theodore Roosevelt

Theodore Roosevelt said it all here in The man in arena.Dare to do something, don't be afraid of failure as a matter of fact failure is part of success if you have not failed you are yet to succeed.Don't be the usual and pitch your tent with those who are not willing to try anything.

Dare to be different this first of this year as well as for the coming weeks.Like i always say - another dose of inpiration and motivation for us all.Success is not beyond your reach.
